| slash subaru rally car conversion body
I just found this pic. on another site and really liked it . http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/i...Picture010.jpg I have an extra slash that I wanted to keep around for my sons freind to use and such so didn't want to mod it much but thought this would be perfect for it. It ends up that the inferno gt onroad body fits a slash perfect wheel base wise and width wise it's real close like I think you could use the stock wheels but with the jato ones it looks beter with the low profile and fills it out to the fender better with the extra width. This guy used a lcg chassis which I'm sure helped it from flipping but my car does have sway bars and doesn't flip that easy. I was going to paint the body like ken blocks monster car and use the black chrome jato wheels.I think the body just needs some adjustable height body mounts which I could put on and off easy enough. Thought if I could do it with the add on body mounts and changing the wheels and tires thats and easy conversion. One question I do have is the wheels for the newer rustler and the jato the same or different offset? What do you guys think of the idea and looks? |

It's not mine but I will have mine done soon and used the picture for reference. When you have an extra slash lying around I think it's a cool idea thats different.

They have different wb on some of them. Porsche, skyline have a 280mm wb. The subaru and lancer have a 300mm wb. The others I'm not so sure about, but 300mm is the longest. as far as width goes they would NOT be wide enough. I have a couple of the bodies right here, and they are approximately 2" too narrow |
