Im looking at getting a electric 1/10 on road touring car....I have no idea which ones to even bother with. Any one have suggestions of good kit/chassis to start with? I want someting that can handle brushless motor preferably without upgrades and one that has lots of aftermarket support. Any ideas appreciated...thanks... |

well if your going to start racing i would suggest the team ae tc5 dont need any hop ups and it will handle brushless but its a carbon fiber chassis so its not the best for parking lots but if you want to get a parking lot basher i would go with the team ae tc4 rtr and go from there

I have seen alot of people talking about the TC4 and TC5. So TC5 is race ready but not good for parking lots? Any reason why it wouldnt be good for parking lot bashing? Too expensive? Thanks

TC4 or 5 also Losi JRXS or JRXS-R or even an X-RAY, they would have some of the best support. And there is no reason why you couldn't use them on pavement, any touring car on payment will have wear on the chassis. I use to race a JRXS-R, and started with HPI Pro2 back in the day, on pavement and carpet not a big deal. HPI Pro2 and 4 is also a good choice, but depending on LHS may or may not have good support. A few more choices would be Hot Bodies Cyclone and Yokomo. But those you'd be getting into less support from LHS. |

| TC4 and TC5 share no parts. Totally different cars. If you just want to bash, go with a TC3 or 4. Parts are easy to get. If you have the money, get whatever you want. Xray stuff is super nice. I've got an old T1R from 2002 or so, and I show it to guys with newer HPI rtr's, and they think it's the coolest car evar....lol. |

the reason why the tc5 isnt a good parking lot car is because the bottom is carbon fiber and will not last long in a parking lot if you dont sweep it

That would be the same for any car if the lot was dirty. Just use some of Associated's chassis protecting film. I never liked to run any of my touring cars on dirty pavement, gets dusty crap all over and will tear up spur gears real fast. | |
