Default Brushed or Brushless?!?

i really want a brushless e-revo but i dont have the money, but i have the money for a brushed, but ive had A bad history with brushed motors on my speedy cars, so help me decide go the cheap way out and get a brushed, or spend an extra 80-100$ for a brushless, i usuallly try to go fast and stuff so brushless is good but too expensive! help me decide!

Get an ezrun brushless setup. The 4000KV 60amp ecs combo is about $100 and they run great.

initial start up can be expensive but it will pay for itself over time. brushed motors require much more maintenance; brushes, cut comms. and new armatures. brushless, nothing. maybe a bearing or two.

a 4000k brushless is too hot a motor for a monster truck, especially when your running it on 14.4+ volts. i doubt an ezrun would last at all in a monster. a castle mamba monster or tekin brushless system would be all i could recommend, and its fairly big money. imho, spend the extra $100 now instead of $300 on a proper brushless system later.

Default Brushed or Brushless?

this should be quite easy i have had both and a brushless motor not only runs longer but there is hardly any maintinance to do on them they are also so very fast

Hmmm...you can't afford the truck. How in the hell are you going to afford the lipos you will need to make it fast? The charger to charge 2 packs isn't cheap either. I would say buy what you can afford or save you money until you CAN afford it. Better yet, tell your mom she's a biatch!! Then you will get anything you want. Trust me.

i got a stampede xl-5 w/ 8.4v at 3000mah and 5000mah with the titan 12t and it was fun and quick, but burnt through motors... then i bought the velineon system and i love it! i can barely keep the front wheels down, but when i do, it flys... so go brushless!!! its well worth the money.
