| Hello old friend, Legend racer
So, I was cleaning out the garage last week and ran across a unpainted body for a Legend racer I ran back in the day.. Did a little more digging and found the rest of the car.. Decided this would be fun to just rip up and down the street and chase the neighborhood dogs with so I called Brian of Brian's Bodies to hook me up with some killer paint while I started cleaning the chassis. Other then the foam tires being dry rotted, everything else looks good but I can't leave well enough alone. Ordered up some new pan car tires, which are quite a bit wider then the stock spec class tires so I narrowed the rear end about 5/8" to help suck the tires in. The fronts are the same width as stock but I wanted to slam the body and they stuck out to far for that. So, repositioned the knuckles, trimmed quite a bit of the lower arm/suspension mount and narrowed it up around 3/4" Over all plans, fresh 19T motor and 3S lipo... Anyone now of a decent ECS that will handle 3S with reverse? That doesn't cost $100.00.. First thoughts are Sidewinder.. Anyhow, on to the pics.. Not much to these things.. Slightly hacked front end, result of also narrowing up the WB to fit the wells correctly.. As of now, the body is just resting on the tires. I figure raising it about 3/16" for tire clearance will be enough. Still got some tire poking out, but I can live with that.. Considering I can't get much closer then this... Mmmmmmm big meats... Thanks again Brian for the AWESOME paint job!!!! |

thats bada$$ looking, you can actually take some of the width out of the outer edge then round the sidewalls a bit so it will be a little cleaner tucked in look.

| Thanks to you.. I thought about it, if i do, it will be from the inside though and i'll narrow the axle a bit more so i don't loose the depth of the rims.. |

Very appealing paintjob. I kind of like the tires protruding from the fenders. Oh you might wanna try an Mtronics ESC RV15 or RV11. I've been using an RV15 with 3S and a cobalt 7T on my heavy A$$ axial and it did not even get warm even with sick binds and flat out driving. Less than 40$ too |

I have a couple bolink diggers that I keep thinking about throwing back together. I always wanted a legend car. Looks good! I think you my have motivated me to get my digger back going again. Now I just have to find some asphault to run it on....only thing that sucks about living in the country is not being able to run any road cars..... |

Thanks Brian! Quote:
Sounds good on the ESC but I went with the Sidewinder so I also have a backup for several scale rigs if the need arises.. Quote:
Ya, the lack of cutoff and my trigger finger scares me using lipos.. Nice looking ride man.. Quote:
I got the body mounted, had to make a few stand-offs for velcro as I couldn't see putting holes in Brian's Beautiful work... I'll post some nice outside pics tonight.. I also found some more Traxxas Link receivers on the bay, 2 brand new shipped for less then $70.00. Think I'll put the second one in the Slash so it will be 2.4g also.. And as I mentioned above, got a Sidewinder coming from TCS..

So I got the receiver in, and of course the ESC from TCS (one of these days I'm truly expecting to see Kevin or Jeff standing on my door step, there can be no other way for them to get my stuff here faster then the one day service going on now! , thanks guys!! ) Charged up a 3S 1300 and I must say it's definitely faster then my 2S Velineon Slash and about uncontrollable at full speed due to the lack of suspension but no the less fun. I need to dial some expo into the steering as it will turn (or flip) on a dime, I forgot how touchy these things are.. Anyhow, body mounted pics..
