Default Rock crawling airplanes....

Just want to share my latest interest in the rc hobby. RC Bush Flying! I'm putting together a little something myself too. Will post pics when I get it in & started. You can see the first plane in the video has flaps which slow down the plane drastically but the main thing of interest on this board would be the 6" inflatable tires!

I love videos of Bush landings. There are some incredible pilots out there.

Wow, that thing can take off and land in about a 6 foor strip, that's impressive. You should try to take off oout of a truckbox and land back in it. Looks like a fullsize longbox truck would be enough space.

1:1 STOL Cubs, It's cool seeing them skim the surface of the water on the tires. These guys are awesome pilots.

Yeah I'll either do flaps & ailerons or just flaperons.

just flaps might be enough, if you get too slow you'll stall. I just ordered the Hanger -9 AT-6 25e it has flaps and ailerons, it will be my first plane with dedicated flaps, I've always used the flaperons. I also picked up the retracts and interior kit for it

Have you looked at the 10E and 25E cubs from hyperion?

I work hard to stall. Slow is the new fast in rc airplanes haha!

I have the Eflite 25 J-3 I just finished. That's probably going to get flown on Saturday as long as the weather cooperates.

As the "other project" let's just say I bought a trailer today and leave it at that....

Yeah, the tires are foam on them right? Can't quite tell from the photos.

Here's the result of a couple nights in my buddy's shop.

Should be done in the next couple weeks here.
