Slow ass sand rail build

Since it's me,you know it'll be a slow build.:mrgreen::ror:
Anyway,I've been wanting to build a sand rail for a LOONG time.After running my Slash at the beach,I decided it was time.
Picked up an RC4WD Desert Storm chassis to base this off of.I'll be making a few changes to it along the way.I don't care for the rear shock setup so,I'll be adding in a piece between the rear horizontal and angled bars to get a normal type of setup.Stock way causes binding.
Got it half ass mocked up in the rear today using my stock Slash wheels and tires to get an idea of what I'll be working with.Not too sure I care for the wheel width compared to the chassis.May switch to Slash arms to bring it in some.Will have to figure out what to do about the front to make things match up.
I'll be adding pics as I get things done.
Stay tuned.

Don't stress it...I had a Factory Team RC10GT that i purchased 5 years ago and I finally ran it this past Sunday at the Orchard Beach parking lot in the Bronx.

I ran 5 tanks of nitro before i was asked to leave by Park Rangers.

I wasn't able to finish my break-in period so i couldn't really open her up.

But damn it...i finally got to see her run!!!

oh how time flies"thumbsup"

Mocked up a little further.Figured out what to do about the width.Went with Slash arms in the rear and,Pro-Line Pro-trac front arms.I had to switch sides with the arms for better shock alignment.Now I have to figure out the front camber links and,steering links,after I get the steering bellcranks in.After that I can start figuring out a shock setup.:)
