Default Another Project

Maybe one of these days I will finish one before starting another...it's just fun to have three or four projects going to jump back and forth on. It seems to help keep my interest and recharge the creative batteries. This one is an RC4WD Desert Storm chassis with Stampede and Jato parts...will slowly upgrade to some nicer parts as I go but want get it mostly built first. I am liking this build a lot! On to the pics...

That is just plain sexy!
Staying with the on road look or going to put some buggy pins or paddles on it?

Really undecided as of now but I am leaning toward paddles. Will prob just swap in and out depending where I'm running.

Got the steering bellcrank and linkage in, some quality upper and lower links installed, cut out some some body panels on the router at work, changed to some firmer springs and put some SC wheels on. Should have the paddles for the rear tomorrow. Oh, and added the wing...It's starting to look like something...

That looks GREAT! I am building one also, I read the build done in 2008, he mentioned having bumpsteer problems and talked about moving the whole steering bellcrank assembly forward, are you thinking about doing that? I am pondering it.

Ya I read that as well and have already moved it as far fwd as it will go. It starts waaaaay too far back. Another 1/4" and the links will hit the shock springs.

Thanks Brutha, I am having a lot of fun with this one. Wheels are RC4WD Short Course wheels...doesn't look like they offer them in silver anymore.

MIP Shafts
Black Ano Wheels
Changed out the shocks

Now maybe I can move on to the body panels...

She's a runner and haul's a**! Couldn't keep the fancy billet shocks from binding so I had to go back to the good ole Traxxas big bores...they work flawlessly. Have a few more things to do but the PITA work is done.
