It will be "interesting" to see how it compares to the Associated & Losi offerings (ESPECIALLY the Losi).

It's sort of meta, when you think about it.
The slash was the OG but you had to convert it.
Traxxas finally realized "oh hey! maybe we should like, actually sell them that way??"

Pretty cool but i still don't see myself jumping in the no prep pool anytime soon.

Curious to see what they change, if anything. Assume it will be a LCG slash with bandit arms of course. Nothing wrong with that, I got my ass handed to me by one last week. Be nice if they molded a new bulkhead to get rid of that kickup though, but I doubt it.

The radio setup from their original drag cars would be a welcome addition, it's pretty slick. I'm sure the code is still around since it was a TQi with just a firmware tweak.

Cool, but I’m sure it’ll be overpriced Traxxas crap using 95% existing products.

Traxxas does well with this formula, and really, what all needs to be done? More or less they'll just be packaging up what people are already making.

One thing to remember, Traxxas is not a newbie at making drag vehicles, so I am betting some version of their launch control will be included, which might be worth it.

While a Traxxas launch control would definitely be good, and considerably better than the stock ESC programming, I'm willing to bet that it's still wouldn't be as fantastic as the 5-stage ability of Maclan's DRK160.

I've never raced noprep, but theres rumors of no prep sand drags becoming a thing around here this summer, so I'll ask...

Is there any benefit to this launch control over Castle's auxiliary wire adjusting torque limiting?

How do you have No Prep Sand Drags, leave the rake at home?!

That will be probably prohibited

From big T themselves...

"It’s much more than a Slash for the street; the C10 Drag Truck is unlike anything else in the no prep scene. It’s a combination of innovative straight-line speed and performance, outstanding scale realism, and the legendary versatility and durability of the world-beating Slash with some big new surprises."

Huh. So maybe not just a parts bin assembly. Curious....

Their launch control had a stage, hold, and launch mode IIRC using the 3 position switch. My buddy was showing it to me last weekend - pretty slick. Don't see why it wouldn't be allowed per-se....TSM is an issue though. Needs to be a way to disable it -we had plenty of people caught cheating with TSM. And one guy who put a 2S sticker on a 3S pack....like no one was going to notice that. Idiot.

TSM can be turned off pretty easily via their app, I put it in my Stampede and last few time I had the truck out, I didn’t even bother to turn the app on, let alone the TSM. The problem would be easy to fix by swapping it for the telemetry one, especially if it’s not needed to use the drag features on the ESC.

Wonder how quickly the guy who did the sticker swap would accuse somebody else of cheating....
