Grab your trucks its time for a new point series!!!

This will be the official thread for our winter/spring point series. Which will run February through May.
We will be adding a 2.2s class this time around.

All are invited, There will be 7 events w/two throw aways. This means we will take the best 5 events and that will be your final series score. We will continue with the weekend / AM schedule as done in the past, holding each event on Sundays.

For this series:
-We will be using USRCCA national rules for these events.

-There will be a $7 entry fee per event, $5 for club members. (any indoor comp will require an additional $15 or $10 for members to the Boulder House @ En hobbies for the use of the facilities).

- 2.2s will not have an entry fee for this series

-We will be comping at 10am on Sundays (pro class first)

-We will be using the current national rules for progress (-2 per gate, Not Progressive Scoring). We will NOT be using the 20pt and carry rule option in this series..

There will be two spotters and one judge per driver per course. We need spotters and judges to be proactive and cognizant of the driver and course they are judging. Please pay attention and position yourself in a way you can effectively see all obstacles/gate.

These events are meant to be fun and we want to keep it that way, but we also need to make sure everyone is getting the same fair judging as everyone else.

The schedule is as follows:
02/10/13 - Boulder House @ En Hobbies
02/24/13 - Boulder House @ En Hobbies
03/10/13 - Boulder House @ En Hobbies
03/24/13 - Boulder House @ En Hobbies
04/07/13 - Emerald parkway - Ravine
(under the overpass if the ravine isn't dry)
04/21/13 - Josh's course
05/05/13 - Alum Creek State Park

Again, all skill levels are welcome and encouraged to attend. We have a wide range of knowledge and are always willing and eager to help a newbie out with rig setup or driving tips. Hope to see you soon!!!

I will try to make it out for a comp. Maybe on 2/24. I'll try to round up some WPAC guys and see ya there!

Do you guys have an approx. Time frame for the finish time?

That would depend on attendance, our "usual" for about 7-10 people for pro only was about 4hrs. (10am-2pm). So if you brought everyone it might be closer to 6hrs. (11:30am-5:30pm), since we are now also running 2 classes.

I was think'n about 10:15 because EN Hobbies doesn't open till 11:00.

They open at 11:00. We will get there at that time, set the course, draw numbers and the first truck is on the rocks at 11:30.

We spoke with the hobby shop tonight and they are willing to open early for the point series. They will let us in at 930 so we can start at 10am. I will be updating the first post soon...

This means we need to get in draw #'s and set a course with the first truck on the line by 10
