| Central Ohio Crawlers Post Here
Hey, I live just east of columbus in New Albany. The guy at the LHS is telling me he has sold a dozen or more AX10 kits and that some people have been buyin the same weird parts I do to build their own crawlers. WHERE ARE YOU GUYS, Post here if you live around columbus and want to go rc crawling or want to carpool to freddies hobbies for any of the indoor comps this winter. |

EeePee is in Columbus also. You will have to try and make it to our next event that we have at Oakes Park in Fairborn. It is probably a little less than an hour for you. www.Tri-statecrawlers.com |

I have a 2.2 scale rig right now, could go 1.9 fairly easily if needed. Plan on making another rig by spring. What do you guys run at Oaks Park?

2.2's, supers and scale. It just depends on the event. We switch everything up all year long even if we run 2.2's and supers only that event, after we are done everyone trailrides with their scalers |

I live about 1 mile east of that round about you are talking about, It may as well be a figure 8 track for all those rich women in their suvs and $100K cars, Its crazy the stuff you see them pull in there. I passed one with her left turn signal on trying to turn the wrong way into the round about last week.

Any of you guys ever go crawling at the "Below the damn Park" up at alum creek state park? There is a RC airplane park right there too. Its a great place to crawl, huge steep rockpile on one side, huge steep rockpile with concrete in the gaps on the other, amazing grip on that. I will be going up there this weekend with a buddy if anyone around the city wants to meet send me a pm or post and we can get a time as long as its not as cold as balls or raining. I go to Hobbytown USA on north hamlton road the guys are more into nitro but they have all the random parts ive ever needed. "Below the damn park" its a pretty cool place I have only ever crawled there for a few minutes, the traction on the concrete covered rocks is amazing, So amazing that I crawled my wk crawler about 50yds up the steep incline and I couldnt walk the hill to get it before it tumbed and broke half my links. Got a better stronger more capable rig now, im ready to go back. (when its warm) Last edited by tjscrogins99; 01-15-2008 at 06:43 PM. |
