| Pro-line tuber paint job
Had to show you guys my latest paint job. I know it's not a proper tuber, but it looks cool. I cut the panels from flat sheets of lexan from Parma, cut out all the holes and used flame mask from XXX Main. I laid everything flat and spaced everything out on a clean board and used Parma Faskolor in my airbrush. A few mistakes, but it turned out O.K. The Hammers seen here will be replaced very soon with G8 Chisels as these are worn out! P.S. I have an Extreme Racing carbon fiber chassis, and I had a heck of a time getting the holes to line up. |

Those panels and mesh make the proline tuber stand out. Nice work there.

It seemed to crawl just as well as before. Being plastic, and using .030 Parma lexan, it's not too heavy. I just changed over to G8 Proline chisels, and it climbs awesome. Tonight I'll be putting on the Axial CVD's in the front....next up; moving the links inboard.

Yeah I am digging The body. Has anyone broke anything on this one yet? Wondering how strong it is. I think it would be perfect for a Higher speed basher/rock racer. But the price seems a little steep to me. Great Paint Job. I like the screen |

Now it's really lookin' good with some new tires. I put some CVD's on the front, so it's turning better than ever. I need to upgrade my servo for a little quicker turning and probably relocate it to the center psition as I'm getting some rub with the increased steering throw and bigger tires. |

looks good. how do the panels hold up mounted with zipties? do you think theyll last quite awhile or will the zipties need to be replaced frequently?

Thanks for the positive replies. It was a pain in rump to do the panels. Everything, so far, has been holding up well as far as the ties go. She's only had a few tumbles so far; this weekend is a comp so we'll see. The one thing I don't like about this body is that I have to take out four screws to get it off, rather than just taking off four clips to switch things up. |
