Post your Axial CF-100 paint jobs I am building my first scaler, and what to see what others did with this body as not much is coming to mind for me so far. Post them up."thumbsup" |
the key to scaler paint scemes is to keep it simple 1 or 2 colors at most any more than 2 and it starts looking like a hot rod instead of a trail rig here's what i did w/ mine http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f3...x/DSC03461.jpg http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f3...x/DSC03463.jpg i also highly recomend getting the interior kit if you're planning to keep use the body. picked one up today from my lhs today, looks really promising (gonna use it for a dingo body though) http://www.tcscrawlers.com/images/D/...ngle_hires.jpg |
Nice!"thumbsup" |

Amazing videos, thanks for sharing. "thumbsup" |
my dad who is now retired has been asking about coming "to use the trucks" for a while now so I figured i would use it as an excuse to build another kit"thumbsup" I plan on going with the OG SCX10 kit with the CF-100 body, I thought long and hard on what body i think he would like and being born in '48 i think the CF is perfect for him. I want to paint it like an old beat up truck. I have this plan in my head to keep the rear fenders but ditch the bed and build a real wood drop bed in its place but the old worn out eat up paint job is what i would/could definatly use a few pointers on. Like how to make rust spots and spots that have worn to bare metal and DENTS:flipoff: how do you make dents in leaxan bodies? just melt and bend? thanks in advance for any input Matt |
This is a fun body, also pretty easy to "honcho" the rear."thumbsup" http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...nib/022-12.jpg http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...nib/018-18.jpg http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...nib/014-17.jpg |
