Default New Paint - Well not paint...

STICKER BOMB

Well I'm heavily involved in the 1:1 Subaru world, and theres a new fad of "wrapping" parts, be they interior or exterior, with stickers as a means of graffiti style painting.

So since I like the look, but not really on the Subaru, figured, WTH lets try it on my body panels for the BeetleJuice v3.

Basically you layer stickers like wild, then get the below style look. These were done with primarily black/white stickers, but colors work fine as well. I got the stickers from the Sticker Bomb 2 book (over 280 graffiti/random stickers for about $20). Since those stickers are paper, they don't love holding bends so plan placement. Also being paper water will kill them, so I coated them heavily with clear acrylic spray paint.

Again these are just layered stickers, while the look appears to be expensive wraps, they are rather economical options.

I'll try to get more pics soon. These were from jcboof while at our 5/15 Auburn Hills comp.

Look great, I looked very close and I can't tell where the seams are. Where do you find these sticker books? Online?

Thanks! It's hard to make these BJv3's look unique. I thought a great chassis needed something different.

Not really the normal skins, but they'd look good as skins.

Skins are skins no matter what they are made of energy drink cans, stickers, or vinyl.
So great job and extra kudos for being extra creative

Local Meijers, which is basically like Kmart or Walmart. Nothing too fancy. Lots of light coats to start then some heavier ones. It won't make the stickers last forever, but keeps them better than no protection.

Sweet lookin' rig Jake, I bet it's faster than your Triumph!! Been forever since racing w/ you and Matt at Dirtburners, where are you crawling at up there in D-town, maybe I can bring my son Noah up and check out your local hot spots.

You could also do a gel coat with thinned epoxy/resin,,,I would test it on a sticker or skin first to make sure it doesnt release the print
