Default Painting 1st rc car body quick question.

im going to paint the parma 1/8 truck body a single color blue and wondering is there like a final coat you should put on the body when its done underneath. I see many cars that are dark colors but inside the body looks like they are white or silver??

Most people "back" the color they choose with white or silver to give it a more solid and non-see through appearance. Silver will give a metalic color more sparkle, while a white back coat makes the final color stand out more. Backing also helps block other colors like in stripes or graphics and keeps them from showing through. Hope this helps.

Right on thanks man. Im guessing that one can of paint (metallic blue) and one can of silver (metallic blue) will be enough for the 1/8 scale body??

also i know put light coats and wait for each coat to dry fully then do another but when I "back up" the color in silver should i wait like 24 hours before i do the back up color?

no, you can spray the silver backing once the blue has dried to the touch.
