Default I keep cracking lexan and it is frustrating!

Alright folks here is my delima. I purchased what a guy claimed was lexan recently and I have made a few panels for a bodiless out of it and the darn stuff simply keeps cracking every time I lay it over on the rocks. Is it possible that paint dry's out lexan or I am guessing I might have been duped and did not get lexan.

That being said what thickness lexan would you guys recommend for a bodiless? Thanks.

it was probably acrylic and not lexan. if it cracks when you try to bend it, then you do not have lexan.

i ran to that same problem before. go check out spazstix.com to get some sheets of lexan really cheap and use the discount code below to get a hook up. what i always use for panels is .030", it is perfect for bodiles rig panels.

"Lexan" is a GE brand name , all you need is Polycarbonate, but yea , sounds like you got duped and ended up with some acrylic

It bends fine without breaking. It is a bit on the thick side. All I know is if I hit something hard with it it cracks.

Regardless thanks for the pointers on the good stuff. I will get the orders going.

How cold was it when you cracked the lexan. Everything becomes more brittle in the cold but lexan is some tuff stuff. I tend to agree that it doesn't sound like lexan.
