styrene dust?? Just a little curious about how invasive styrene dust is? I like to sit in the living room with the family and tinker away with my styrene work, while they play/watch tv. Is a small amount of dust from filing and mild sanding ok? or am i better to keep it to the shop? All heavy sanding is kept in the shop but when it comes to straighting an edge for glue and what not. |
Re: styrene dust?? From what I've read (which isn't too much;-)) in small amounts it isn't toxic. Large amounts can/will start to cause headaches and nausea. I do the same thing as you , minimal amounts of sanding in the house. But I wouldn't let the "ankle biters" chew on any"thumbsup". |

Re: styrene dust?? You can save the dust and mix it with MEK to make a filler 'paste', it makes a permanent filler joint. |
