Fast Lane Foose F150 I havent seen anyone use this truck yet, so I picked one up and found out why. http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5492/9...f3b60ceb_c.jpg IMG_2160 by sgtbforza, on Flickr http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7346/9...c75b6e5a89.jpg IMG_2819 by sgtbforza, on Flickr http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7315/9...34e30eb1_c.jpg IMG_5592 by sgtbforza, on Flickr As you can see, its about an inch too narrow BUT at 5.5" tall the height is spot on and the length is spot on. The details are great and come out perfectly, my only complaint is the bed so I will redo that. http://farm3.staticflickr.com/2868/9...f37089d8d3.jpg IMG_9936 by sgtbforza, on Flickr http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3775/9...7f94c4a4_o.jpg IMG_6446 by sgtbforza, on Flickr http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5346/9...bfe4293b_o.jpg IMG_2467 by sgtbforza, on Flickr http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3735/9...f63ac56d_z.jpg IMG_5666 by sgtbforza, on Flickr As you can see the wheel wells dont even line up on the bed and it doesnt drop far enough http://farm3.staticflickr.com/2892/9...dd0b1e4c_z.jpg IMG_6437 by sgtbforza, on Flickr So what do you do in this situation? I did this, and im going to add 1.25" to the middle. http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5340/9...2dfae138_z.jpg IMG_4408 by sgtbforza, on Flickr http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3665/9...c09a8460_z.jpg IMG_8015 by sgtbforza, on Flickr Im currently working on a Newbright F150 right now and this body is my waiting on the mailman project but I will try to update with my progress regularly. |
Re: Fast Lane Foose F150 Its slow going because I am allowing the full 24 hours for my epoxy to cure but I got the first pieces of filler in, im going to build up the plastic and then go back and sand down - try to use as little filler putty as possible http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3771/9...e74d7b60_z.jpg IMG_4169 by sgtbforza, on Flickr the bumper is just sitting here in this pic thats why it looks crooked but im happy with the width, I think its going to look right once done I have it siiting next to a proline silverado for reference http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3690/9...71c4d4b7_z.jpg IMG_9116 by sgtbforza, on Flickr |
Re: Fast Lane Foose F150 Nothing too exciting, just another bit of filler and another 24hours of cure time. Just so you guys know Im not putting this up because I think im awesome, but putting it up here I kinda commit to it and it ensures I will finish it lol http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7283/9...2dcfcc2c_z.jpg IMG_5088 by sgtbforza, on Flickr http://farm3.staticflickr.com/2824/9...7b8ee188_z.jpg IMG_9556 by sgtbforza, on Flickr http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3757/9...b092571a_z.jpg IMG_7525 by sgtbforza, on Flickr http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7383/9...c5ca92be_z.jpg IMG_1562 by sgtbforza, on Flickr |
Re: Fast Lane Foose F150 looking good, cant wait to see the finished product. |
Re: Fast Lane Foose F150 Quote:
Thank you sir! This truck will not be finished though, whats the point? Proline makes a body just like this - its not unique enough..... This expedition should turn out just fine though http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5350/9...80c6c660_z.jpg exped by sgtbforza, on Flickr http://farm3.staticflickr.com/2892/9...ebca2a88_c.jpg IMG_0101 by sgtbforza, on Flickr http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5469/9...05a2d92c_c.jpg IMG_2933 by sgtbforza, on Flickr |

Re: Fast Lane Foose F150 not a bad start but the wheel base now looks closer to an excursion to me. |
Re: Fast Lane Foose F150 Quote:
You might be right, the 1:1 wheelbase is 119" so I just went for 11 15/16" and called it good lol edit - I think whats throwing it off are the dimensions of the windows, I will be scooting them back soon. |
Re: Fast Lane Foose F150 looking good, the camper shell adds a very nice touch took it from a street truck look to more of a trail ready look |
Re: Fast Lane Foose F150 Subbed. Think there should be more SUV bodies available, but in the meantime I'll watch this thread rather than complain. |
Re: Fast Lane Foose F150 Thanks fellas! I will get some updates up Monday - Ive been busy on this |
Re: Fast Lane Foose F150 pretty neat looking cant wait for the finished product |

Re: Fast Lane Foose F150 Quote:
I umm....am actually a chevy guy too...I just keep running across Ford harbodies lol. I dont have skills trust me - this project is running on caffine, nicotine, and pure stubborness at this point lol. |
Re: Fast Lane Foose F150 looking good so far. quick question tho. do you happen to know the original width of the body? |
Re: Fast Lane Foose F150 Quote:
Right around 6" if memory serves correctly. Not really update worthy but it was a big deal for me to see the windows hacked out (still need to clean the cuts up). http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5510/9...0dfa3ca4_c.jpg IMG_0331 by sgtbforza, on Flickr |
Re: Fast Lane Foose F150 Cools thanks and like how you did the windows. Can't wait for finished product. |
Re: Fast Lane Foose F150 This is coming together nicely the rear windows really turned out great. Are you still planning for the f-150 or are you going more expedition/excursion as of now? I'm just wondering how you were planning on splitting the rear to look like a cap if doing the truck? Keep the updates coming, its actually inspiring me to get some work done instead of just sitting on my arse...... --Dan |
