Default Modified Axial Driver's Helmet

I modified an Axial driver's helmet to fit my favorite 7" driving figure, the NECA Terminator exo-skeleton.

All I have left to do is light sanding of seams and paint the helmet as well as install the LED into the figures head and drill out small holes so the eyes light up.

I have included a few images of that process at the end of the post.

This should work for any 6"-7" driver figures with or without some mods to the head.

Very nice work. How does it look with the helmet on?

Scale brother, scale.
Originally I was worried about it looking to large on the figure, but once on it looked just right to me.

Sorry. I really liked it with the Helmet on. My questions should have been how does it look with the LED's on with the helmet on. Just curious on the possible red reflection inside the helmet. Going to paint it silver to match the skeleton?

Ah got ya.

Ok, i haven't put it on that terminator yet as that Wraith is in pieces for a rewiring of everything and a cage mod. That terminator has been in there wired up for over a year now.

The one in the pic will get a blue LED in the head for the eyes and will go in my 1/10 Yeti build... or at least his top half. LOL

I am guessing that the LED will illuminate the inside of the helmet and his face a bit which is ok since I like to see the skull.

I am going to paint it a burnished silver, blue, black combo with battle scarring. Add to that some matching color on the figure's body to tie it all in.

I will also be adding anothet one in the passenger side and animate their heads with the steering servo input.

Plus I need to add a moving steering wheel and add that to the mechanical mix with the moving heads.

That means I will loose-joint the driver's arms to move freely.
