Default Comp bodies?

Are there any comp style bodies out there any more, or have all those gone away? I’ve been looking lately and can’t find much out there that is available.

Thanks

I would consider the Jconcepts Creep body to be a comp body. Dunno much past that, but you can make any body a comp body lol. I turned my TW body into a “comp” body.

I was hoping for a “bug” type body or something small enough to be a tight fit and rounded.........did forget to see if the Skully and Craniac bodies from Traxxas were still available though!

For what type of chassis?

There are still a few of the old style, I see RJ Speed still makes the 70's Outlaw Rocker and the 80's Crawler Pickup body and Parma PSE makes the X-citer Comp Crawler body.

Once in a while I'll see some small company make a limited run of those older style bodies, but I can't remember who they were...

These days people tend to use the Power Wagon cab and either dovetail or cage the back...

I suppose you could use several of the cab only bodies the same way, such as the MST J45C.

Speaking of MST, their JP1 body is nice and narrow if you trim the fenders down - which is one of the reasons people use the JConcepts Creep.

Team C (carried by Atees) makes a Samurai replica that people cut down and comp with a lot in Asia - they're super cheap and sell individually or in packs of 3 or 5 (but shipping will get ya!)

If you use nearly any one of these bodies and slam it down super low on your body posts, and then trim the bumpers, fenders, and rockers to a bare minimum, they work pretty nicely.

Use custom shock mounts to raise the top mount location, so the whole rig rides very low yet still has the up-travel...

EDIT: Oh, and it looks like Parma PSE still makes their bug:

I'm bringing my Comp and Night Crawlers back out of "retirement" and have been looking to see what all is available, though that Monster Beetle body would be a thought, though I already have a couple of their crawler Excite bodies mounted and in need of paint. Looks like the Axial Hardline body from the XR10 is still available (though on b/o right now) from what I could find and I've considered the Night Crawler SE bodies, though I like ones that I can slam over the chassis like I have with the Exciters on it now and Helios bodies I ran in the past, but would prefer something that is more of a "round" or Bug like shape for the roll over effect.
