Default Pro Line Dropped their VW Baja series Bodys there were just released last month or so

Hey You All Looks like Pro Line had some license issues with their "The Baja" 2.5 and 3.3 VW Body's. Its very possible that we could not see these again. I got a heads up from a supplier and bought all I could. So I am fairly stocked up on them, but when they are gone there gone. Check Pro Lines site. They are no where to be seen, but nothing said about it either. It's too bad cuase they are a killer looking body :?

Kind of weird. Maybe that was just a rumor? Maybe they're actually going to release a new improved version?

Yeah I just ordered. I was going to pick one up else where, but its always a pleasure to support a smaller business.

I'm skeptical that these are gone forever. Tower says they're on order. Eitherway I'd like to use one on my comp crawler.

Thanks guys, As of right now Pro Line is not fullfilling any orders from what my rep has told me, do to the license issue. I felt these bodies were good enough to buy a bunch for stock in the event they end up not making anymore, or if it takes a while to iron out the licensing. I really cant see them giving up this new tooling and never making them again, It may just be a while before they do again, and thats all just my speculation. I am going to contact Pro Line direct Monday. As they were closed today for good friday.

And you all that ordered I will be shipping monday and tuesday. Thanks Corey

I see both HPI's Baja bodies on their site. I believe HPI is coming out with more versions of the Baja for the Wheely King, etc...

These bodies are in addition to the esavage and rs4 mt bodies they have...maybe HPI won the 'license rights battle'?

Since when did VW ever sell a baja bug? Must be liscensing issues with the sticker sheet.

Really? The Proline version is one of the most 'anatomically' correct VW bodies I've seen on a RC (body). As an owner and a huge fan of aircooled VW's, I'm stoked to see all the bug bodies out there. Now if they would only come out with a split-window bus body, THAT WOULD BE SWEET! My crawler would definitely sport one of those

VWoA has really cracked down over the past few years on use of their trademarked names. They even have names like "bug" , "baja" and "buggy" trademarked. stupid, eh? I don't know how they get away with it since they have never produced anything that actually carried any of those names. Wierd. I remember when it first started happening and tons of the aftermarket companies that made parts for VWs were getting hassled and threatened with lawsuits. I'm a VW guy for life, but VWoA has really pissed a bunch of people off with that ****.

Oh... and I just bought one of the bodies too. haha. I've got about anything RC thats VW related hanging on the wall in my garage! Another body new in the pack for my collection!
