SLASH Races?

Who wants to race some Slashes in the evening? I can bring some cones.

badger 05-28-2009 02:50 PM

I'm down. I can bring my two Slashes (one stock, one mod) and my SC10.

How big are your cones? To small for a 5T?

racer - x 05-28-2009 03:00 PM

I'm in

Skeeno 05-28-2009 04:39 PM

They are only 6" or so high. I'm sure we can use tshirts or rocks or something to mark the course. Are we parking lot racing or going onto the mountain? I was thinking of the parking lot in front of the condos. Have a little dinner and racing.

caspers_crawler 05-28-2009 05:44 PM

why not....ill bring mine

Fishmaxx 05-28-2009 06:03 PM

If I can get it there for a reasonable price.

KING BLING 06-03-2009 12:06 PM

count parker, toe and i in. I will brink the track supplies too.

Fishmaxx 06-04-2009 07:02 PM

The UPS online quote to ship from UPS Store Atlanta to UPS Store Sacremento was $13.

That seems reasonable to me "thumbsup"

Because I am traveling light , and I want to know what to bring. Are we racing on the paved parking lot side or the gravel part of the ski slope?

Don't know if it would make it easier for you but if you want to ship your slash to me, I can bring it up with me on Friday. I'm in Rocklin, CA. Let me know if this would help you out.

The best tracks are half asphalt and half dirt;) Really shows who the good drivers are;)

Thanks man , but I think I found a UPS store off the I-80 in a shopping center with a grocery store. We will probably kill 2 birds with one stop. If for some reason that plan falls through I will let you know.

Ahhh you must be Dick trickle his dad. hey are sc10's welcome?

Skeeno 06-06-2009 05:16 PM

I don;t see why SC10s wouldn't be allowed. It's just a bash/race. Nothing to serious, unless of course the drinks are flowing and the money comes out.

ForumSn0w 06-08-2009 01:03 AM

You guys are giving me another reason to pick up a slash here in the next couple weeks before I come up. I would be cool to have some basher races.

MikeBerg 06-15-2009 01:26 PM

"thumbsup" I am in. Will be bringing my Slash.

KING BLING 06-17-2009 04:52 PM

Ok, here is all the info we have about the CORR Truck races. Obviously to pull off a great race, would require more time and supplies than we have. Here is what we have come up with.

Classes:

Just 1 class. 1/10 CORR truck / STOCK

requirements:

1/10 desert or corr truck
any 6 cell 7.2v battery pack is allowed. No 7 or 8 cell
any 7.4v lipo pack is allowed
brushed motors are limited to 19t or traxxas titan 12t
Brushless motors are limited to 10.5 turn
any desert truck tires are allowed.

Itinerary, etc:

The races will start at 5:00pm Friday night. sign ups are at 4:30pm.

We will be running two(2) 10 minute heats. Possibly a main if there are enough charged batteries and the cars still run"thumbsup". We do need to keep in mind parker is setting the track:shock:.

CKRC will be bringing a lap counter system, turn marshals, and misc gear to run the race.

The only on and off course rule.

DONT CHEAT!
We will be limited on how we run cars thru the turns and jumps, they may be marked by stakes, banners, stairs:idea:, rope or who knows. We have no way to keep people on the course except for honesty.

Example:
If there are 8 turns we will have 8 turn Marshall's. If you miss a turn, go back and go through it. If a turn marshall sees someone miss a turn jump or ?, they will pull your car the next time you go through there!

The point of the turn marshal will not only be to correct rolled and broken cars, but to also remove the cheaters rigs and set them on there lids!!:-P

1st place wins nothing
2nd wins half of nothing
3rd, who ever remembers third anyways.

This should be interesting.:shock::shock::shock::shock::shock::sh ock::shock:8)

This race sounds fancier than the drink in one hand, controller in the other, driving from the balcony of the condo race I was envisioning.

Should we bring transponders?

I changed the order and put me in the #1 position. If I am attending a race it is Badger Law that I will win, therefor my name must be placed in the first place running order (as I own the #1 plate in anything I race).

Thank you for your understanding.

He was hit in the shoulders, the chain link fence jumped out and hit him in the head.

I'll bring a helmet just for you.
