Of course the Goliath looks like a good crawler.

It would be just as good a crawler platform as the TLT-1 if it didn't cost over twice as much, had as much part support, had the same axle width, didn't have gaping holes where each axle ended, had metal gears instead of plastic touring car gears, and didn't ship with missing parts.

I've got one and I've enjoyed the hell out of it. Outta the box, it's a respectable crawler, much better than a TLT. But the axles do have some shortcomings. The cantilever mounts are screwey but there's easy work-arounds for mounting shocks directly to the axles.

I doesn't have a center ball diff, just ball-diffs in the axles. The biggest shortcoming on the axles is those gaping holes in the axle ends. So gunk gets in there pretty easy, but I haven't had any problems and I've run mine through dirt, sand, mud, water and snow. The bushings keep most gunk from getting to the differential.

It's a super simple setup, but it's too frickin' expensive and for crawler purposes, you get a better bang for the buck outta the TLT. If you were to keep it stock, the PTI is a great rig. But who keeps their stuff bone-stock?
