Why does it seem like no one has any 2wd rc rally's?

For me personally I think the lack of ground clearance and loose driving conditions really need a 4wd/all wheel drive to get through the tracks.

It could be fun having a vintage class where drivers were only allowed 2wd, but driving would be much slower.

yea, with my driving style I would be spun out on every corner for the first month of driving a 2WD Rally!

Most real 2wd rally is done with FWD cars, not so much rear. Would be like RC Mini Cooper Racing...very tough to be good at it because lose any momentum and basically lose.

No where near as quick out of the corners as the 4WD cars and you definitely need momentum on your side. Fun though.

Throttle control and steering control is a bit harder than a 4WD car. Part of the fun. "thumbsup"

Ah its rear wheel drive I thought it was front wheel drive for a minute. Does that body fit the other M chassis'?

My buddy's got that Alfa shell on his M05 where we race mini's on road. Nice looking shell in real life!

Front wheel drive minis, or the latest crop of FWD chassis' from Tamiya and other others could be ok, but nothing will beat 4wd in fun and performance, if you have the option.

How much of a "bit" harder is it? I have a bad enough time on a track with race tires...

I've had this guy for over 12 years, Blast to drive, can't keep up with minis tho. Anything over silver-can is overkill.

Well, ever drive a 4WD Slash and then try to get the same lap times with a 2WD Slash? If the dirt is packed it's not too bad, but if it's loose, the tail end is all over which means your steering and throttle are all over too. And if the diff is open or loose you've can expect one wheel to be doing the propelling.

More or less, yeah. 2wd is about being smooth and keeping up momentum. 4wd you can hammer around a corner and let the front wheels pull you back in line. I get that.

I suppose 2wd rally wouldn't be too bad if you stay far away from stupid when it comes to power.

Sounds about right. Even still the Tamiya silver can can get you in trouble. Gotta do the liiiight sqeeeeze on throttle.
