Some bling for the DRX

Yesterday, I went to my LHS to pick up a few spares for my DRX...got myself some a-arms, spur gear and steering knuckles, but I also picked up Kyosho's
"steering wiper set"...to me it looks like a bell crank:ror:

Apparently, it should give a better steering geometry and smoother steering and for 20 bucks, I figured why not?

Here's a few pics:

The set can be used for both the standard plastic version and the alu version.

Installing the new linkage is fairly easy, it does require a bit of trimming of the kit parts, but nothing major.
Here's a pic of it installed:

I tried to get a good picture of the wheels, to show the new ackerman angle, but it distorts somewhat...

You also get some adj. turnbuckles for the linkage as well as a new longer servo horn.

So, how does it drive?
To be honest, I haven't driven it enough to form an opinion, just a quick spin to make sure everything was working...but I don't think it will make a huge difference.
But it looks nice:mrgreen:

That sucks the one wheel is all jacked up like that. Let us know how it does. The steering on mine seems to get suck out of place a lot then the servo will set there and hum.

Check and tighten your servo saver?
