The big main servo gear on my robo servo stripped out/wore out... I'm gonna try and shove a new monster hitec 7980TH in between the axle and motor!! At nearly 2mm bigger in all measurements it's gonna be tight! But I think I can make it fit????? Pics once it's installed.. |

Holy cow I have thought about this but I didn't think it would work. I'm workin on my super build right now and actually have a pair of the 7990 servos. You might have to actually mill out a couple of the fins on there but the two bolts on the outside aint goin anywhere and they are pretty close to the outside of the servo. You could always just throw a 65:1 gear ratio case on the 2.2 and then you would for sure fit it. Well good luck can't wait to see if it will work. |

A friend of mine is running some 10T pullers on hes Berg, maybe you get it to fit using those. I'm contemplating this route myself since they offer more room and are lighter. his got more wheel speed than my 35T combo as well. He's using twin FXR's and 3s, so that's the only difference, but I think the weight loss might be worth it.

I will probably just keep running standard motors. I'm sure I can make the monster servo fit...might have to adjust the motor mount holes like the berg guys to get the 7980 in there but I think it will fit easier then the 7950 fits in the bergs.. | |

Not much to report.... I cut a alum chassis after a weird fall snapped one of my side plates....I needed the rig running for the next comp so I hurried and cut one just to get me on the rocks again. Also took my 6" tires off....they are great sometimes...but they seemed to be hurting me more then helping and I just could not tune them to side hill and climb as good as a standard 5.5" Sedona..also got my mayhem "4" beadlocks installed on this rig...I love how light and strong they are and also nice to have the adjustable hubs to get me to the width I like.. I pmed brains bodies to spray a new lid for me I'm really happy with how it turned out!! |

That's a sexy lookin' rig, , , , , ,,, what are you doing with it. I like the color scheme, very cool. If you drive it as good as it looks, we'll be seeing you on the podium some where. |

thanks guys...the body seemed to help me a lot on the rocks....I was so worried about scratching it that I drove really well I ran it at the utah state champs and the rig worked very well.....I managed a 17th out of 64 driver...not to bad...I'm pretty happy with it. I made a couple mistakes on the last two courses....if I had not screwed up I could have finished in the top 5 I think...but I guess it's easy to say that after the fact.. it was a blast of a comp with lots of fun guys and gals..I'm a little sad that winter is setting in....and the comp season is mostly over here in utah. |
