Great pictures too!
Do the best with what you got, thats what my Dad always told me.

They were , one had a big hole I had to straddle. I did notice the rear links got a little caught up on some pointed rocks on the edge of those undercuts. Might not happen very offend but I did a little more mods to the lower links. I rounded the bottom a little.

Before

After

Looks good. Hope it holds up. There can't be that much material there around the stud.

I got to go out to the test spot and see how she does. It's working pretty good, Being so light at 5.5 lbs is different for me. I might need a little weight up front or something.

Tell me what you think it needs and why.

I like that last climb. That was pretty impressive. I usually tend to run more weight up front. Your rig did look a little bit light on that side hill but overall it looked to perform pretty good. IMO

My front is always heavier, It side hilled pretty good but I had to drive it. Do you think it should be heavier or maybe a spring change in the rear.

Its kinda wierd huh? Im not as light as that but its trick, for me atleast to get it dialed without just adding more weight wich Im used too. From the vid I would say maybe just start off by adding just alittle bit to the rear and see how it works for you.

If I add any weight it will be to the front. I try and dail my rigs in with shock oil ,springs and links before I add weight. But thanks for your opinion.

Well I went out today and I made one change and it fixed it. It work better every where else too, but here a video of the same sidehill. I want to thank Joesbrusier for the tip. All I did is move my back link up one hole at the chassis and added a little squat. Still havn't added any weight and still at 5.5 lbs.

I really like how the rear links turned out. It would be good to be able to copy them they way you've got them bent.
Nice use of the chassis protector sheet, gonna have to see if my LHS has some.

I really like your videos how you test using same lines at Broken Dam so we can all can make some comparisons that is very cool. This rig climbs very well and the side hilling has improved after Joe's recommendation. But I've got to say this is a tight build those lower links are the hot ticket and the quality of equipment and it's location along with that nice wiring make for a great looking chassis. But then you top it off with your latest paint design a evolving version of your signature paint and it makes for the best yet IMO nice work Rick.

Thanks. When I bent them I did them in pairs so they would match, the protector sheet is slick too.

Wow thanks Norm, you made me blush.
There's one spot at Broken Dam that I've tested on sence I started crawling. I have a lot of videos there.I got TLT videos there. I've always video my runs on that spot and then go home and watch them ,make some changes and hit the same lines. It helps me to see if my changes work or not.
I'm loving this rig, I like it better than my berg. It's the best handling rig I've had, I plan on kicking some butt with it.

We all have the JPcustom's Hellstrom chassis, I really like this chassis. The adjustablty of this chassis rocks. I'll be using JP's lower and upper links. I'm also going to use RC4WD's titanium hardware.

I'm going to do the same build and was wondering....I see in the pics that you use RC4WD Ti screws, part #X-0038 (3x20mm). Are there any other sizes you used as well. If you could reference the RC4WD part numbers, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!!!

RC4WD was having a sale on screws ,so I just picked up a few different sizes for the build. The 20s can be cut to fit.
