Default Phylodog's new Bully

This is my first MOA and first rig with a DIG. I rushed the paint trying to get it ready for a comp tomorrow morning so it looks like crap but mine do even if I take my time, lol.

SPECS:
Prototype chassis which should be hitting the market soon
Bully prototype machined axles, cast tubes on the front
Mayhem Wheels/White Dot Rovers
Punk DIG
Tekin FXR
Integy 45T motors (12T & 13T pinions)
JR8711 Servo
Losi CC shocks limited 3/8"
DX3R

Hoping I'll do ok at tomorrow's comp with it. Nothing like baptism by fire!!!

Looks really cool.
Have you thought about slaming the body down on the chassis.

If I were to suggest anything, I would say to put the body as low as it will go.

Unfortunately I can't get it any lower than it is. There was precious little room in the chassis to mount the electronics so the Rx and FXR are up really high. Not how I wanted it but I couldn't come up with any other way.

that looks cool man. i would say maybe try flipping whatever you got the rx and fxr mounted on and see if it will all clear the uppers that way you could then put the lid lower. OR try gettting one of these if/when these are in stock so you can move your battery to the axle and put the rx and fxr where the battery is. looks good tho man!

I recommend moving the battery to the rear axle on a thin plate, that will free space in the chassis to allow lower mounting of electronics as well as lowering where the battery weight is sitting....thus allowing a slammed body and lower CoG. (the truck looks good....this is just my 2 cents.)

You can make a battery plate hella easy too, but yeah, move it to the back axle is what Id do in your situation.

Sitting in the pics it's 12.25" and just under 12.5" at full compression.

It's 3.25" to the bottom of the forward (lowest) part of the chassis.

Spent about 5 hours moving things around and the body is now as low as it will go.

I didn't want to put the battery on the rear axle based on what I had read but I don't have a choice at this point. There's nowhere else to put it unfortunately. I need to buy some material to make a plate for the battery before I can get it on the rocks.

i think it looks good bro! and running the battery on the rear axle aint as bad as many make it sound. not like your running a 1lb stick pack back there lol, youre running a purdy lightweight lipo. my buddy runs his with his battery on the rear and hes happy with it that way.

Just reading isnt going to tell you how to set up your rig, dont put too much into what everyone says. Try out different things and see what works best for you. I was running 2 oz wheels front and back with the pack on the front lowers and liked it alot, but I switched to 1.9 oz wheels in back and 4 oz wheels up front and after running it both with the pack up front and the pack on the rear axle, the rear axle was the best place for it.

i would say that having the battery on your rear axle versus where you did have it its definitely better off on the axle. even though the lipo doesn't weigh much its still a decent amount of weight to be up that high

Thanks guys. I forgot I had a RC4WD steering servo bracket that I took off and replaced with Xirtic's. I bolted it up to the rear axle and it holds my battery very well. Hopefully I'll get out to the Rox Box Wednesday evening and see how it does.
