Re: Two

check the oil and the air pressure,

there is a thread from one of the pros where he went over one of these. he mentions several things to look for
like loose screws, maybe not enough grease, oil missing from the shocks, potential problems with the routing
of the wires, etc..

damn but it sure looks nice.
enjoy

Re: Two

Did put a battery in and it is rtr.
Found 3 loose screws already.

Am planning a strip down, check , adjust and learn tomorrow. I do know it needs the motor wires moved, I need smaller batteries, and it is totally off the wall !!
I've read a dozen threads on setup, the tx/rx is s pain, but I will get it

Re: Two

I bought a set of axles when they first came out.

slick
smooth
sexy

but a kit sounds tempting but so does the rtr. I can always change out the esc later
I prefer having 2 escs.

is that radio 3 or 4 channel? or heavens forbid only 2?

It's 4 the dig unit really works well off front switch 3.
I looked for the 100 difference for motors, esc, bec,dig,tx/rx.....great deal

It is so quiet and smooth, the tx is cheap feeling, servo is ok , but have a 400 oz coming soon. Knuckle weights are no where to be found.

I am having a blast so far!

Re: Two

DEFINITELY do a full tear down, both axles all the way down, loctite every bolt on axles. There was screws loose, barely any loctite used on axles, no grease, and motor pinion was barely contacting the gears inside.

Re: Two

Nice move. Vent the tires. Servo is a nice upgrade. Controller is cheap feeling but works just fine for single esc. Softer springs all around. You can add oil but only up to about half inch from full. It fits seem to dampen them a bit and help some. Clock the axles a bit more with longer rod ends

4 sets in box , how do I tell?

What ends do I need? Jato? Aluminum?

Shocks will be 1/2 filled with 30w and 50w to start

Vent tires not wheels ?? I'm still new to crawling

I used traxxas rod ends. Not sure if the part number, threw the package out. They're about 1/4" longer
I vented the tires with a leather punch. 4 holes symmetrically across from each other using the 5/64th punch size.
