| Stock TF2 Leaf Removal
I have heard about suspension tweaks for stock parts on the TF2. Is this something that any of you have done or can it even be done at all? I have no plans on going with the link conversion as I want to keep it 100% stock looking. What I have heard is that people take one leaf out and remove the spring from out of the stock shocks. Does this sound legit or worth the time? |

I haven't done it yet cause i'm like you want to keep stock as long as i can till i think to get the feel of it first then do the upgrade or mods.. Here is a pic of how it's done some put 4 like this or just 2 on the bottom or just 2 on top you'd have to experiment...I only have a couple of o-rings here but i'm going to try Nitro tubing in thin slices.... There are a bunch of different ways to set up the leafs to get more performance out of them. I recommend starting with the TF2 guide stickied here. There's a whole section on suspension setup and mods.

I wound up going linked, which you can see if you want on my thread I have going Malickies New TF2 RTR Modifications even still I may, when I have some time and more patience work on some of the mods to see if I can manage the same articulation or close to it at any rate with leafs. Has 80mm King Scale Shocks in Front and Gmade Transitions in Sprung Setup in the rear which puts them at 107mm. |
