Default Headhunters TF2

I have wanted a trailfinder2 for a long time picked up a nib kit from HDMM last week and been hard at work since. Here's what I got so far.

Specs;
Sidewinder 2 (will most likely swap out for a SW3 so it will be waterproof
Banebots 550
Savox water proof servo 200 oz/tq
3 cell 3300 lipo
Dx4c radio
1/16 shift servo
Castle Bec

Currently the interior is just about ready for primer, its got arm rests, window cranks, functioning wing windows, door speakers, pedals, high beam dimmer switch, and dash lights. Made some inner fender for the front.

Thank you this is pretty much my first attempt at styrene work and a truly scale truck. Was thinking about trying a frx but planning on running 3 cells. I have a brxl and if my pockets are deep enough on ESC day I will probably opt for one of them.

Made some progress added turn signal switch to the column got a 1/16 scale servo for the shifter servo which also operates the shifter in the cab. I'll get a video of it up soon.

Has anyone painted the letters on the sidewalls of the stock tires? Used testors model paint and its been four days and its not drying. Yes I washed them first. Just wondering if anyone else ran into this problem.

I used a white paint marker that I bought at a craft store for the lettering on my tires. It took a day to dry completely. If yours isn't dry by now it might be best to take it off and try something else.

That's what I thought, I didn't wanna give up the 550 for it I run one in my wraith and it performs awesome for the cost of a set of brushes for a 27 torque master lol.

thanks Alpha was wondering if the paint markers would work better.

Thank you! I never liked the acrylics but now I know they have a purpose.

So every time i try to post pictures from my phone my browser locks up, so i finally got a minute on the desktop to get this up to date.

Got a lot done the exocage is just about finished need money for a winch so i can build a front bumper and then everything will be just about ready for paint.

Gonna have a vin plate

Gotta have some bungee cords

But its always better to be safe than sorry so i made a ratchet strap. You could call it a prototype i plan on making better ones after a trip to the craft store this weekend.

Started on a camper trailer that will actaully carry basic tools, a extra battery and anything else i don't wanna carry on me.

Safety Chains

And this is about how the whole setup looks now.

Gotta finsh the tube work and mount a spare on the trailer. Make a Propane tank for the front and figure out a way to mount it so i can easily take it on and off to get to my tool door and so that it will hold the door shut when in place. Need Light buckets Its gonna have 4 lights on the roof when done. Lights on the trailer... alright i guess its to soon the list everything that still needs done.

Having a blast build this truck though had and built alot of r/cs in the last 15 years but this is quickly becoming my favorite and i have yet to get mud on the tires!

Made a propane tank

Made the tailgate open and close

Patched all the holes in the header panel and grafted the light buckets/mounts in.

Got my winch, front bumper is almost done.

"Back in Westros if we wanted to pull something we just got another horse!

I always like home made parts over store bought. Just gives it that look of its own. Very well done.

Awesome fab work, love everything except the painted tires, lol! Your metal work and creativeness with the propane tank and trailer are impressive.
