| It's done!
I just finished my TF2 kit I bought a while back and thought I'd show you all the result. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tyZMiQNYuNQ Nothing fancy here, for now I'm totally happy with what it is. I've mostly been a lurker here, but I've gained so much knowledge even before I pulled the trigger and bought the kit. Just want to say thanks to everybody who posts here, all the info is great! |

Nice editing with the video. Plan to switch to lipo's when the snow clears? Not to bad pep for an old left over motor. Not sure if you know, On brushed motors: Lower turn = higher speed, lower torque Higher turn = lower speed, higher torque. A RTR TF2 comes with a 45 turn motor which is fairly up there, stock SCX10 i believe are 27T. So going forward, if you start to do some crawling, you may see the rig not having enough push to get around certain things. Just a heads up and .02$ Looks great so far! |

I'll probably hold off on lipos for a bit longer since my batts still seem pretty good. I agree the motor I'm using is a little much for crawling but I sort of wanted to have a baseline before getting a higher turn motor (probably go with a 35T). The ESC is also probably going to get replaced eventually too (an old Tamiya from a kit I built). I didn't realize just about everything in the truck was old stuff I had sitting around. What a cheap bastard. | |

If you want to detail the grille pick up a silver paint marker or sharpie. I also painted my front side marker lenses (blinkers). Next I'm gonna paint a bed liner in the back and probably a toolbox.

Hey Crutch. I've seen the silver Sharpie on the grill around here somewhere before. I might give it a try. I did that on a CC-01 I used to have on the lug nuts. These were some HPI rims for a touring car. I was happy with the results. |
