I traded my Wraith for a TF2. The Wraith was getting a little too easy to drive over the relatively flat Louisiana terrain....... So on came the TF2!!!! I LOVE IT!!!!! So I ran it stock for about a week, then did the chino mod and put O-rings on the leaf mounts and removed the shocks for now until the leafs break in. I acquired the F-150 body from my good buddy 17dean!! Did a little reworking to the stock chassis and some trimming on the body to get the wheelbase right but end result I LOVE IT!!!! On to the pictures......... The way I received it It came with an extra Yota body.... so naturally I had to make it my own... Then I made a electronics tray for it to clean it up a little bit After some talkling back and forth and wheeling and dealing I ended up with a great body for it!!! This is where I ended up as of now.... I had to drill a few holes in the rear of the chassis to move the leafs back about 3/4" to stretch the wheelbase. and do a little bit of trimming on the body to shorten it about 1/8", so everything lines up now. As it sits now I am going to be making a raised skid for thr T-case to get it up out the way and start scratching my head on how to get an interior in there Alot of detailing left to do on the body. I plan to be making some bumpers for it, maybe a roll bar for some KC lights, not sure if a light bar is the way to go. I think the KC lights would compliment the build a little better. Once its all ready ill eventually repaint the body with my own creation of sorts. Thanks for looking Daniel Updates to come shortly........ |

Thanks man, Really enjoying this build!!!! I love the "scaleness" of the body and chassis....... leafs fit the old school ford body great. Although I may go to links in the future for better "crawlability" . Cant wait to finish this raised T-case skid so I gan get this thing under its own power !!

Its actually a RTR Rc4wd Yota. Onto the progress........ I made a raised mount for the T-case and skid plate for the underside. Works out perfect and gives me about another 1/2" of belly clearance! Next thing im going to make a mount to put the battery towards the front of the elec tray. Thanks Daniel |
