I run 1.9 wheels with 1.55's.. lol..

I assume you are asking about 1.9 tire's, tho..
I had mounted a set of 1.9 Rock Beast's with CI closed cell foams, on 2.2 wheels.
They weren't much taller then the 1.55 Growler's with CI 2 stage foams, on 1.9's..

Pros.. They looked Awesome! Worked Amazing!

Cons.. The rear tire fit the wheel arch, Perfectly! Which in turn, all but locked the drive train down, upon coming in contact with the arch..

Pics are on my Troyota, build thread..

The front tire would only go that far..

It was Great, when it didn't articulate, too much..

1.55 on 1.9(modified 1.55 CI 2 stage)..
1.9 on 2.2 with single stage closed cell (in center).
1.9 on 2.2 with CI 2 stage 1.9 foams.

Does look awesome! Any trouble with tire rub?

Not in the front. The rear was bad (the way my truck is setup.)
I could have externally limited the rear shocks or a few other things. I just didn't. Lol..
I thought I was building the truck for C1 and a option for C2.. So the RB's would have been the C2 setup.

For the last 3 yrs, I've been running it in C2, with the 1.55 Growler's on it.. Works pretty good.

Pitbull Braven Ironsides, a perfect match for the TF2.

They list them as 4.19 tires but they end up smaller than the 1.55 Growlers when mounted.

There is no difference in running a 1.9 versus a 1.55 rim (other than visually), it is the outside diameter of the tire that limits you. Keep the OD of the tire under about 4.3 inches (under 4 if you don't trim the front fender) and you should have no issues.
