Anybody know if this upgrade works?

Hello my friends. I want to upgraded the axles in my gelande 2. Has anyone used or know that the scx10 2 axles will work? The quicker the reply, the better.

Thanks friends.

They are wider than your stock axles. I use the ascender axles. You can narrow them by 8mm on each side. very simple mod .

I wasn't sure about the width of the AR44's (SCX10 2 axles) vs. Yota I/II (Gelande 2), so I didn't want to answer you right away.

Do keep in mind the differences in final drive ratios compared between the 3 main ones:
Gelande/TF2 (Yota / K44): 32T/12T = 2.67
SCX10 2 (AR44): 30T/8T = 3.75
Ascender: 24T/13T = 1.85

In short, the AR44s will give you lower gearing compared to the stock Gelande's, and the Ascender's will give you higher gearing. The differences can be made up with a different pinion on the motor. Hope that helps.

You are correct, When I use Ascender axles in my Gelande I have to use a 10 or 9 tooth pinion gear. But it does balance out.
