4 linked front

So I'm sure this has been done alot already, but I was tired of the panhard bar being in the way and binding my over sized springs... But I mad a 4th bar while running the 2 speed r2 trans... https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...8e5bfddcdd.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...906911dffc.jpg

Good job on the bar. BTW, the bends in the bar do NOT affect geometry but can weaken it...only the end mounting points matter for the geometry.

Are those inner fenders 3d printed or styrene?

Re: 4 linked front

Since this is a chassis mounted servo a 3 link is the way to go. By making it a 4 link you may be adding more binding. With a CMS the panhard is trying to shift the axle from side to side but the 4 link doesnt really allow it to.

If however if you had a axle mounted servo a 4 linked front end is perfectly fine as it lacks the panhard.

Hey Nate :)

EDIT: So you actually removed the panhard bar it sounds like? if so the potential new problem you created is bump steer. The panhard's function is to keep the distance from the servo horn to the knuckle close to the same through out suspension travel in order to reduce or eliminate bump steer. Now you may notice the rig is steering left or right as the suspension compresses (without you steering).
