Sorry Guys, Correction, CCRC Hosted a comp there last year and thanks to a Few CCRC Drivers that discovered that spot AKA Mr. Hill and others.... But it takes Parker and crew to appreciate these amazing location to hold comps of integrity and fun... Keep up the good work and we need to find more of these spots...

The G6 was AMAZING! But then again, what else would I expect from a G6? I had to use GPS to get to the spot because despite being a local crawling enthusiast I had never ventured further than Dotton's point or the Folsom lake area. The location and terrain were great. The people, both from the event and at the park were fantastic. Some of the courses felt like you were out in the bayou, which is killer for northern Cali.

As soon as I arrived (and after tech check) I whipped out the camera and started taking pictures. Getting to run around all the courses and see people having fun was a blast in itself. I got to chant people on and see what troubles others were having and lend a hand where needed. I assisted with a few recoveries and talked with some locals.

Then it came time to run and, as a first for the G6, I turned on my on-board camera and started filming. Finished the Blue course with only 6 penalties with a CC01! No major breakages, just a snapped winch line. My plan for the remaining courses was to charge up the cam during the middle course and film the final one. Unfortunately I encountered a major breakage on the Yellow course that would keep me from running the remaining courses. It was fine by me, it just meant more pictures! I was able to mount the cam on my stage buddy's rig and film him running the yellow course. He made it past the gate that did me in and another dozen or so till technical issues defeated him as well. The curse of the Yellow course struck again! All a part of the G6 experience.

All in all I ended up with 200+ photos and about 50 minutes of vehicle-mounted video. I think in the future I might turn on the camera for particularly interesting or difficult gates. Due to battery limitations I can only get about 50mins per charge of video. Plus I'm just editing out most the flat-ground footage now anyway... Without further ado:

Folsom G6 Blues Part Duex

Eh, big brown blockage on gate 49...lol

Yee-haw!

And the Stair Masters:

Thanks again G6 Crew! You guys are amazing for what you do and the spirit you bring along with you. I wish I could be at every G6 to take photos and video, but sadly that is easier said than done. But if I'm there I can assure you there will be lots more pictures!

Full album here.
