Mr G6 DRIVNMF Brian Parker,
I registered 2.2 adventure, and was planning on running alongside my 9yr old son running 1.9 adventure.

Thinking about switching us both to ultra... Will it be possible to run 1.9 ultra and 2.2 ultra simultaneously?

the 801 crew has been busy swooping up extra parts, talking about meals, and seating in the vehicles, but mostly just playing,.... but shake down runs are a very important part of the Axialfest preparation (even if they are every weekend)

And of course some shenanigans happen along the way

To those who have brought a 1:1 in the past- are you required to have any kind of OHV pass? Or just street legal?

I found this, which might be helpful for those travelling to California with a 1:1:

What If I Am Visiting From Another State?

1)Q: :I will be traveling to California from another state to ride my OHV. Do I need California OHV registration (Green or Red Sticker)?

A) If you are a resident of another state and your OHV has valid registration from that state, you do not need a Green or Red Sticker or a California Nonresident OHV Use Permit. If your OHV does not have valid registration or the equivalent from your home state, you will need to get a California Nonresident OHV Use Permit. A title is not registration. For states bordering California, the Oregon OHV Permit, the Nevada OHV Registration Decal, and the Arizona OHV Decal meet the requirement for OHV registration by residents of those states. States that do not have an OHV registration program are:

Alabama Kansas South Carolina
Alaska Kentucky South Dakota
Florida Mississippi Tennessee
Georgia Nebraska Virginia
Hawaii North Carolina West Virginia
Illinois

A non-resident with an OHV from one of these states must purchase the California Nonresident OHV Use Permit to operate on California's public lands.

A non-resident from the remaining 34 states need not purchase California's permit as long as they can provide valid proof that they have a current registration or their home state's equivalent for their OHV. If a nonresident cannot provide valid proof of possessing such a document, they must purchase the California Nonresident OHV Use Permit. (15)

They do sort of frown upon a California resident with an Oregon OHV Permit on their rig though...! LOL

Ok, I've reserved H12, and will have another Oregonian with me.

Looking forward to it!

Agreed, my knee popped again at our last norcal comp, been hurting like hell ever since. Not sure how much hiking I will be able to do by then but I can still push the gas pedal with a stick.

Also, anyone know the itinerary or if we'll need boats again like last year?

RTX ends at 1
G6 Trial Challenge starts at 2. Not positive, but this will not be a trail run, but more of a mix of fun obstacles to tackle. It should take place close to G Central or possibly the dust bowl up front.
Real G6 starts at 8

Looks like Thursday or Sunday would work for a 1:1 Fordyce run.

So I guess I will be leaving my house early than I thought on Friday. Leave at 9am to be there by 1pm, with trailer and towing with a Tahoe.

Chino did you convince Meatwad and Postclanker to come?

I haven't talked to either of them in awhile, I'll try and get a hold of them this weekend.
