Default Metal gears??

So Im tired of smoking little motors. How long until the metal gears come out? I was crawlin today and some little kid goes. Hey your truck is smoking. I wanted to hit him.

So I ordered the 8 tooth the other day. I hope that it goes a little better.
We'll see.

should be soon. how soon unsure. i emailed redcat a little while ago about pinions. they replied back saying that they are running the 8t pinions with 65t motors. i was thinkin 65t???? wonder if they are coming out with different motor options as well, because i know the stockers are 70t so.... the metal gears should make they pretty much indestructible tho. im def. gonna be buying some for mine when they get here.

I'm not so sure that metal gears will prevent your motors from smoking and dying. Sounds like an issue with the motors instead. There's no ETA on the metal gears yet, should be in the near future.

No I figured that the metal gears would make it so bigger motors are possible. I really dont want to buy different 380 motors because they arent strong enough.

Well if anyone hears anything, be sure to fill everyone in plz.

I agree, with the limited selection of 380 sized motors I figure I will wait for gears. Then I will change to a 540 sized motor. No sence buying motors twice. It also doesn't make much sence to switch to 540 and strip out the diffs. So waiting is my game now...I can practice crashing my helicopter to pass the time, I'm getting pretty good at it

Anybody know if metal gears will be available for the 1/8 super crawler? My brother has one and he really needs them.
