i am running the outcry esc with turbo bec as well. yes there is a noticeable difference in torque with the bec, sends power straight to the servo by-passing the esc, resulting in optimal performance of said servo. if u plan on going lipo just remember to get a lva, the outcry doesn't have a cutoff. happy thanksgiving james |

I've never used that one but the cc BEC is the only way to go if you want constant servo power.

I've got one of those turbo BEC's in my rig and love it. It works very similarly to the castle BEC, but it comes with a preset voltage and you can't change that voltage like you can with the castle BEC. To answer your question...yep, they do really work. As was said before, they route more power from your battery straight to your servo, resulting in a slightly more powerful servo. I'm not sure how much of a difference it will make on stock servos, but on a higher torque servo it's almost mandatory to have a BEC.

It probably won't be so drastic of a difference that you'll go "holy crap this is so much more powerful", but like I said before, it'll route some more voltage to your servo so you'll get a few more ounces of torque. Either way, the ESC you're getting comes with one, so it only makes sense to go ahead and use it.

The extra volts makes it quicker and gives some more torque, the real advantage is that it allows more amps to flow. This is what gives you the most boost in torque. The down fall is that you may see less battery run time since your servo can draw way more watts. The ccbec is better because you can tune it to whatever voltage, but also because its rated for twice the amps. If you already have the rc4wd one, try it out. You can always pull it off if you don't like it.
