Default 540 conversion shock mounts (will this clear?)

I swapped my shackles and I think this may be a method to deconflict shock mounting and 540 conversion. chime in...
straight to axle set up...

Flipshackle and BAM!!! I think we can clear the fatty cans!!!This is the rear pretty straight forward

The front w/ servo requires a little ingenuity. I got it close but the shock wants to bind on the servo side...(crappy picture alert!!!)

Lets beat this up and see if we can get agreement on a shock mount for ZNO to make for the 540 swap.

NICE!
I can see how the bullseye chassis is perfect for that setup! Are you stock width? Or are you running the narrow chassis posts?

Ya that will clear. same as mine but I have mine mounted futher back. I think i may flip the more forward like yours seeing as I have 120mm shocks and with my integy chassis I'm limiting them a little to much.

Narrow width chassis which causes some conflict up front with the servo. going to fab up an upper shock setup that is wider than the chassis and wider than the stock standoffs to clear the servo up front and allow for the 540 swap with no tire rub. we will see how this goes.

Got the Traxxas Big bore's from ZNO and wow!!! The included springs are rigid as hell!! I was sooo ecxited to get some quality shocks but uhhh... these shocks really bound my rig up tight. Researching true droop/semi-droop right now looking for the answer. I had to toally reconfigure the shackles and mounting holes on the Bullseye to mount the big bores. I will get it worked out but buyers be ready to reconfigure from stock to big bore. I am goin to hit the local hardware store (since my LHS blows) looking for softer springs. I am gonna use the stockers til I find something better as far as springs go. Again, ideas???

For regular size springs, The redcat stockers are about the softest out there. softer than the losi whites that were the 'other' softest spring on the market. I run smaller diameter springs internally or on the shaft. Like a pen spring or that sort of thing. I have sag instead of droop right now.

Got it. I think I will stick with the redcat springs... or maybe internals. The internals mounted inverted will look kind of scaler anyways.
