That hole goes into the diff? Bummer, I want to shave that piece off my e10 axles too. Maybe you can fill it with silicone or even jb weld.

I'm going to try and make a JB Weld "cap" on it. I was thinking about putting plastic wrap over the pumpkin, then JB on that. Pull it off after it cures, remove plastic, out cap back on, and finally fresh JB on the sides to bond the cap to the housing. Either something like that, or take the diff out, fill hole with JB, then use a Dremel to clean out the inside. I went ahead and ordered a new housing on Amazon, so it won't be down while I'm working on the hole. The terminal I work at has a lot of construction going on, and there's some great spots the run it, while on nights.
