Default Gen8 V2 shorty

Hi, I had a Futaba FX-10 long ago, then later a Schumacher SST2000 I lifted and rallied. Then a nitro rustler (still have) and a Sparrowhawk XXT (still have) and now much later this Redcat Gen8 V2.

It's got a shortened and trimmed body, wheelbase extended front and rear and suspension raised one hole, Club5 stainless suspension links and rock sliders, eBay aluminum 4-piece beadlocks, eBay stainless belly plate and steering skid plate, and a Holmes Trailmaster Sport 550 21T.

Tires are Injora Canyon Trail 2.2 with the small part of the center lugs trimmed out, and the stock foams cut with a metal cutoff wheel and then a checkerboard pattern torn out of the outside to make them dual-stage. This is obviously a budget build.

eBay winch and magnet body mounts are glued on with JB Weld "Plastic Bonder" bumper repair epoxy. 30 minute cure time and 3/4 the tensile strength of old school JB weld, but it stays a bit flexible. Battery is a Venom 5000 2S, stock radio and ESC.

Any suggestions for a replacement for the Hexfly "25g" servo? Needs to be waterproof, brushless, faster and more powerful than the stock servo (which is decent for the kit price but just not good enough) and preferably around $50. Ideally it would run directly from my battery.

Looks like 3S (min volts 11.1) but otherwise very nice

Perhaps this one though, https://www.ebay.com/itm/324470420027

about the only budget servo that meets that discription would be the jx 12v servo they have a brussless and brushed models in ether 37kg or 45kg just make sure you test them before hooking them up to your exspensive electronics my first one was a smoke show the other ones i got have been fine

i use a servo tester to test.them there cheap

they work on 2s

but any cheap high woltage servo 8.4v can be rewired to run directly off of a 2s battery

my gen8 is running a cheap no name high volt servo
