Default NEW PICS! FC-1 Franken Crawler Version 1 RS10+ Gmade R1 Hybrid

Here are some more pics of my poor man's Gmade R1 and RedCat RS10 Kit Bash.

This took me about 2 hours to figure out the link configuration for good articulation. Not the best but It flexes pretty well.

Tell me what you think.

I just need to add the decals ( I might leave it just Black but the decals are too nice not to use).

Also, I had wanted to remove the "batwing" but it has kind of grown on me and I think it makes the Franken Crawler-1 look a little mean.

Reminds me of something the Dark Knight Batman might drive.

I was going to lock-out the rear stear, but I like the weirdness of it. I chose Jet Black for the body panels because I like the way the screws contrast on the bead locks so I wanted the same look on the body panels.

I plan on getting some Metal Gear Servos. I have the LED's on the way. Also, some white dot HB rovers and maybe the Black and Silver HR shocks.

Tell me what you think of it so far.

I can't wait to get it dirty. I'll take pics and a video soon.

Comments please.

That's pretty BA. My only concern is the uper links. There's no triangulation in your links what so ever. I would recommend a 4link conversion. I would just be worring about WAY to much axle sway. But still, very badass. I wanted to do that to for a little while. Love that chassis.

I'm pretty new to this but I will look into the 4-link, thanks for the tip.

Maybe some longer shocks might lift the chassis up and give the upper links more clearance.

This is just an experiment and use this as a basis. I will tweak and add hop-ups as time and cash permits.

Thank you everyone for even looking, I'm very proud of my FrankenCrawler and I'm glad everyone likes it.

Love it. It's totaly BA, makes me want to order up a tuber. I'd like to see it again when you get the lights on it.

I wish I had made the tube chassis myself, Its the Gmade R1 cage.

I always wanted an R1 but right now I can't afford the $280 for the kit and the other 200 for the motor, tires, esc and radio.

I found the chassis for 50 bucks, the tires for 17 and the rims for 25 on ebay.

I ordered an RS10 and combined it with the parts from the R1 and made the poor man's R1 Franken Crawler.

I dig the bat wings. Looks pretty mean. I also like it with no stickers. Get some action shots. Curious as to how well it runs.
