Default 540's and stock esc?

So this may have been answered already but can the stock esc handle the 540's? I quess what I'm wanting to know is other than the 540 kit from zno and 540 motors what else is needed for the swap? Thanks

Nothing else should be needed. Stock ESC will be fine, just dont go too low on the number of turns.

What would be the lowest number of turns, 35, 45?

Would the new motors just plug up to the existing wiring? Would I need to solder anything, do the motors come with wires attached. Thanks

Most motors you find will not have the wires. So you will need to desolder wires from the stockers and solder them to the new motors. If you don't solder or know anybody who does, your lhs may do it for you...

I just got my RC4wd motors from zno. They came with wires and bullet connectors allready installed. They are however, missing the capacitors.

So they came wired all you had to do was plug them up into the connector that goes to the esc? What is the capacitor, sorry still trying to learn everything on these

I'm eventually wanting to upgrade to 540's as well. My question is that, aren't those motors too large physically? Wont the tire touch when you turn? Or the servo be in the way? Or does the kit that you are speaking of take care of that. Any photos of people who have done this?

Coffinspire-

There are photos around on this rs10 forum of 540 swap. Most 540s are not much longer or not longer at all than the stock motors. They are, obviously, larger in diameter-which does not create an issue of rubbing. And the motors are not so big that they are hitting other parts, such as the servo as you mentioned. The ZNO kit basically allow your gear housing to have decent strength since they must be ground down. If you can't find any pics on here I've got you the link to my build thread with some documentation on it.
