Default 55 Belair Tuber

Just ordered parts, so i will get pics up when they arrive.

Idea behind this build: Salvage yard, thinking about calling it the Junkman, or Scrapper, maybe even Junk yard Dog. basically it will end up looking like a 55 Bel air stock car that was pulled off the to be crushed pile.

55 Belair pro mod body
Wraith Interior
Bob and Doug McKenzie
rs10xt running gear
steel gear sets
G-made VR01 wheels (one set white, one set black)
12mm 10mm tall flat Hex
RC4WD 1.9 Rock Crushers
Venom Creeper adjustable rate shocks (cause I have them and they are new, might get some piggy backs later on.)
Cheapo no name Brushed ESC rated @14.4 Volt (will start off with 2s packs)
water tight electronics box
custom 3/16 Solid rod cage/chassis
*Motor Options*
*1*Atomic ST-18 380 size motors 26T. (high torque version)
*2*Cobalt 13T
*3*Cobalt 18T
will talk to El banditio about some bumpers.

I have to build something to compete with my dads tuber LOL

anyone know what size the pinion set screws are and what size allen the stock ones take, none of my allens will fit.

When I read the subject name all I could think is the Avenger with crawler tires and some badazz rock bumpers

okay, the redcat parts book claims 2.5 and i knew that was not right. (unless i was looking at the wrong grub, but it was labeled pinion, not wheel hex)

and i can;t wait to see those rock crushers on those VR01's!

waiting on parts is the worst, looks like i should have everything by the middle of July..........should have just paid the extra and ordered with in the states LOL.

here is the body.
RJ Speed 50'S Pro Mod Sedan .040 Lexan RJS1040 | eBay

It will need some modding. what do you think, leave the scoop or remove it? I am thinking I will shorten the nose to a stock length and then hang the front axle in front of the grill area with the links through the grill opening. it would kind of look like a mud drag then. I am going to cut out the rear bumper and tail lights and make a one piece bumper the fits the same shape up into the tail light area. might dove the rear quarter too to clear the rear tires. this is going to be built around the RS10 axles, compared to the Bronco which was always going to get a shafty conversion from the start. this will remain my rs10.

they are 2.5mm thread size, and use a 1.5mm allen driver to install/remove

Well, here we go.

Not sure the butt will sit this high, waiting on the 1.9 wheels and tires.

Not sure about the scoop. The rear supension will be inside the body, the front will be different. The lower links will go through the grill opening, the uppers will go over the hood and attach to a shock/upper link tower.

She looks mean
