The one on the Chevy is for picking up the local radio station on some back country road, as you and Peggy Sue sneak out on a date... The one on the Isuzu is for picking up ET phoning home. Just Kidding both look good, just need to see the Isuzu finished to get what you are going for |

I took a whip style antenna once years ago, painted a large round lead fishing line weight yellow (like a tennis ball you see on some full size rigs to prevent paint scratches, might want to coat it first in some rubber based coating or acrylic type paint to prevent the same on lexan or outer body paint jobs), added some seam lines and the extra weight of the ball helped in a realistic swinging motion of the antenna. That was years ago and I can't rember the type of antenna I used though, spring wasn't super strong either which helped also. Anyone tried this or something similar?

| Since i'm from Iceland, where this car is registered, I'll answer some of the questions. The body is a Nissan Patrol, the wheel arches are add on and most likely made locally. By the markings I'd say the car belongs to a scouts national search and rescure "team", all volunteers. The antenna looks like a Loran-C positioning system but that was replaced by GPS years ago.
