Weathered Picnic table and grill NOT A VENDOR FEELER THREAD! Just showing off something that I made. First, thanks to everyone who helped out here: http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/general-scale-talk/179560-weathered-wood-look-styrene.html and also the folks on Scale RC 4x4. I was working on a picnic table, and I wanted it to look bad. pardonmynoob and reddevildemo pointed me here for weathering: http://www.pacificcoastairlinerr.com/weathered_plastic/ Isn't it amazing what people will just leave sitting around in a city park? http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s...d/DSCN1052.jpg http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s...d/DSCN1055.jpg Somebody even carved his name into it: http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s...d/DSCN1059.jpg Well, let's get cooking: http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s...d/DSCN1062.jpg The handles on the grill come out for carrying, or slide back inside for storage. http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s...d/DSCN1065.jpg and the little wire legs flip down when you aren't using the grill. http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s...d/DSCN1067.jpg Made some bungee cords too, but they came out pretty thick. http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s...d/DSCN1069.jpg Care to join me? http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s...d/DSCN1070.jpg One last shot for size reference: http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s...d/DSCN1073.jpg |

wow that looks awesome. great job. this dude would be totally down for some bbq action. he'll bring the gasoline http://i44.tinypic.com/2lj5hyf.jpg |
thats a really great job. "thumbsup" |
Nice work ther 4 sure. So far all your stuff does not look like a noobs attempt at scale.Looks real nice.Well done. |
Sweet table! |
I don't have a vendor star, not looking to get one. If anyone is interested I'd be happy to make a walkthrough tutorial, but the amount of time that I spent making this thing would make the cost prohibitive as a sale item. -val |
That is some awesome looking items there! Great job on weathering the picnic table. Maybe I'll give my hand a try at making one after I finish the truck I'm working on. |
Table and grill look very nice. Looks like the grill was well used...:)...need a scale wire brush. |
That's a sweet looking picnic table and the scale goodies are great. I found some cool accessories at our local "Doll House store" like a bag of Kingsford Charcoal and a tiny can of Bar-b-q starter fluid |
Re: Weathered Picnic table and grill I'm going to bring this thread back to life! I love the weathered look. I have one where I tried to make it look like the dog chewed off the corner :D Wish I'd a seen this earlier... |
