Nice work. I would put the limit switches on the top and bottom of the slider rail (see arrows), and triggered by a block of wood glued to the back of the door, rather than have the switch levers touch the door itself.

Very good idea. My plan was to hide them to keep to scale as much as possible.

Very cool!

I made a little garage door which doesn't open but I used a piece from a cabinet called an appliance garage or Tambour door, like this

It has the perfect door and roll up set up, but what you're doing will be a much bigger accomplishment
Although maybe you can get some ideas from it.

Thanks - appreciate your comment Its my first attempt at building a scale garage - the door seems to be coming along well in my opinion .. learnt a lot from what I did .. that link you put up a very helpful .. I'm starting to put a price on my work hahaha
