i had the tigress on some rocks today at activethunderrc's house where he has a nice pile of rock growing....she did good without any weight in the VP dirty harrys and no air holes in the tires with the cougars with there memory foams....i can see that i'll need some weight up front to help keep the front planted....i also need to tighten my slipper clutch a bit as it kept screaming in a bind....i'm waiting for pictures from chris to be emailed so i can post them up, stay tuned folks ...............bob

It looks like this last phase was the easy build. You did a great job, very cool crawler. I like the jig too.

did some adjusting on the tigress with adding weight to the empty shell cases by adding a .50 lead round ball to all 6 on each front wheel....the 6 empty cases weight what 3 steel slugs from VP weigh....with the lead ball in one shell it weighs just under one steel VP slug does....so with some extra lead added i should be able to get more weight if needed then what one VP slug weighs....i also left the links in a neutral set up for no AS and works great so far....here's some pictures of my rocks i use to tune on, from one end to the other is 50 foot long....i'll get some pictures with the tigress on the prowl .............bob

Hey

Very nice rock garden. I'm lucky that I have a council made river bed at the end of my street made from the same moss rock.

Wish it was in my back yard though

finished up my weight system today with the primers for the shell cases....

gluded them in with hot melt glue, this way if i need to adjust the weight i just need to heat them with a cig lighter till the glue melts....

also how do ya like the truck stands i made from two butter dishes....

i built 4 more 8 cell packs to have 5 when rocking it....

she looks deadly now and ready for a fight....

the weights i made up weigh .780 oz with a .490" lead ball in a case, the empty case weighs .370 oz....i used three full cases and three empty cases in each rear wheel for 3.50 oz in each rear wheel, i used six full cases in each front wheel for a weight of 4.75 0z in each of them....
so far without any air holes in my wheels or tires with memory foams does good....kind of a spongy bouch to them, once i get my f-400 foams and air holes in the tires it will nail some great traction then....i'll be at activethunder's house thursday working on his rock course and get the tigress on some rocks .......................bob

i'll bring my camera tomorrow and get some pictures....went to full droop on the fronts to see how things worked, not bad so far....here's some pictures that my rig was driven into, the starting gate....

here's a narrow bridge ya need to hit just right....

the second bridge but it has two rocks which lean away from each other....

i stood a bigger stone on top to have a choice to go around either side....

a step climb before the slick sidehill rock....

if ya don't get your highside front tire over the peak your going fer a slide....

can ya say da sidewall is a bit flat....

................bob

Default Nice

Hey you have everything you need to rc rock crawl. Nice truck and a great crawl spot. I might be alittle bit jealous. Set up two more spots and you could have a Rc Rock Crawling Comp at your house. Now that could work in your favor really well. Great Job!
