Looks real good! Too bad its too long to be in the 2.2 class rules. The body looks nice with the 14" wheel base.

If i want to compete i'll have to fab some shorter links. i didn't really build it for competition, but it would be a nice option if i did get the comp bug.

Well, you should bring it to the next CO comp anyway, and run in the supers. See how you do. you could probably even throw some larger tires on when you run the comp.

Performed better than I expected. Run times were great, well over an hour. My Rx pack (small 1200mah 5cell) died before the main pack. Run times otherwise should be around 1.5 to 2 hours. First on my t-do list is behind-the-axle steering. The steering rods got hung up quite a few times. Most of these rocks are probably too big for a 2.2, but that just made it more challenging. It also made for a handful of tipovers so the body is pretty scratched and beat up now. I think it looks much better! Short video clips will be posted shortly... |

The rocks look like the right size. You just need more driving practice. Every truck drives different, and you just have to adjust for what yours does. After a while you'll notice the same rocks that were once hard for you to do are no longer a challenge.

True. However, this is only about 1% of the rocks here. I should have taken a full spread shot. Its a huge boulder patch cemented into concrete, most of the rocks are human sized or larger.. these were the small ones! I may go there again tomorrow, I'll take a spread shot.

Here's a few more. Vids are now up. They are HERE PWT, this is the rock field I was talkin about... its (guessing) about 150ft long, and about 20 feet deep. there are more on the shoreline of the river where I'm standing. Its basically a small kayak park behind a three story REI building.. Theres more rocks on the opposite side of the water. More down to my left. There's an infinite number of lines across this crap. |

Bigd, yup, I know that spot. Its the under the bridge location. Here's a pic of bader, bender, and my TLT all doing follow the leader at that locale, at 12-12.5" of wheelbase a piece (from the rccrawler homepage): There's some fun lines there. Seriously, not dissing you or the truck, but as you drive and tinker more you're going to see that the huge obstacles are the only tough ones. some more ideas here: http://www.rccrawler.com/badgerswild...re/index3.html Last edited by Plays_with_Toys; 10-16-2005 at 08:33 PM. |

Those pics are great, looks like you guys had a blast! I'm loving this thing, I'd like to get it within a 12.5" wb sooner or later for comp rules. I haven't found a rock there yet that I couldn't top, just gotta find the right approach.
